Ronald M. Foreman, 77, of Janesville passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Mercy Manor Transition Center. Ronald was born on May 5, 1936 in Richland Center, WI, the son of James and Mary (Bryant) Foreman. He graduated from Richland Center High School and attended Blackhawk Technical College for one year. He served in the United States Marine Corps from September 6, 1956 to September 5, 1958. Ronald married Harriet Wagner on December 17, 1960. A Janesville resident for many years, he was employed by General Motors for 40 years retiring from the maintenance department. Ronald was an active member of Roxbury Church of Christ and a member of U.A.W. Local # 95 Retirees. He enjoyed all sports, especially fishing and watching the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers.
Surviving are two daughters, Lora Foreman (Mike) Krall of Winona, MN, Susan (John) Tuohy of Madison, WI, four grandchildren, Joseph and Eric Krall, Ryan and Megan Tuohy, one brother, Wilmer Foreman of Colorado, numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Harriet on May 17, 2003. Also preceding him in death are one daughter, Amy Saunders, his parents, three brothers, James, Allen and John and three sisters, Helen, Hilda and Almira.
“Ronald’s family wishes to extend a special thank you to everyone who sent well wishes and who visited him in the hospital over the past six months, especially Mike and Velma Burke and his numerous church family members.”
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Roxbury Church of Christ, 2103 Roxbury Road, Janesville. Pastor Jon Grice will officiate. Private burial will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Roxbury Church of Christ. The Foreman family is being assisted by Henke-Clarson Funeral Home.
